Who will benefit most from Iyengar class
Iyengar classes are particularly good for people who want to practice yoga as a tool to align and strengthen the body and do not necessarily interested in chakras, mudras, energy or other tantric ideas.
It’s also been widely used for rehabilitation purposes. Iyengar method is known for helping people with postural, spinal problems and injuries. But it is not a yoga therapy class per se, and depending on the teacher, can be quite intense for a person with such problems. A person with health issues may get injured if they get into the class that does not correspond to their level of practice. Therefore you might want to check the level of the class and perhaps even contact the teacher beforehand to make sure they know how to deal with your particular health challenges.
