Namaste is derived from the Sanskrit language and is a combination of the words Namas and te. Namas means being open to the person being greeted, bowing, or adoring. The second person ‘Dative’ pronounce in the enclitic form ‘te’. Namaste-related terms can be found in the Hindu Scripture Rigveda. Namaste is used as a respectful form of acknowledging, greeting, and welcoming a guest, relative, or stranger.
