What is Acro Yoga Style
Acro Yoga is a recently developed style that combines traditional yoga postures with acrobatics performed with a partner.
Even though one of the oldest examples of Acro Yoga could be dated back to 1938 - a footage of Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, practicing with a young yoga practitioner, the recent development started only in the early 1990s.
There are many styles of acro yoga that mix yoga, dance, calisthenics and Thai massage.It is usually more vigorous than other styles of yoga.
Working with a partner requires from the practitioners to develop a good understanding of balance, significant strength and flexibility and ability to let go and trust your partner and your own body.
