Have you ever been to a hot yoga or Bikram yoga studio?
Well, now I have and it is quite an experience! This studio in Kiev is unique because most other studios teach traditional yoga styles.
The studio is relatively small but cozy. Obviously, it has to be heated and heated it was!
The class was intense due to the temperature and the body needs to adapt to these new demands gradually.
Towels and extra water is a must and shower afterwards is necessary.
One can take it there, on premises and continue one’s daily tasks.
I can see how the raised temperature can make us feel safer getting into the postures since the entire body is already warmed up.
This practice is a bit like combining two healthy activities: yoga and sauna/bana into one.
If you want the intensity and challenge for both the body and mind - this might be the place for you!
